• IRU Gestió Producció – to manage exhibitions, television events, programs, documentaries, shows, concerts, award ceremonies, etc.

• Lucus Gestió Espais i Natura – to handle the most important religious tourist project in Mallorca. It manages six historical and religious locations in Mallorca and Menorca. I set up the complete Spiritual Mallorca brand www.spiritualmallorca.com.

• Forestal Pak Mallorca – the leading adventure theme park and ziplines in Mallorca. www.forestalpark.com/mallorca/en/

• Galileus Rent – to market the only GMAO with telecommunications, specifically designed for hotels, hospital facilities, public buildings and cities. We equip big hotel chains like Barcelo Group or H10 Hotels. www.galileus.es

Managing Director - Tourism (2016-2017)

 

• Balearic Islands Government for Mallorca, Menorca, Ibiza and Formentera

• I was responsible for: completely reviewing management and monitoring of tourism promotion, refocusing the offer and services, implementing specific action for each country, drafting a new marketing strategy and launching a new program called “Better In Winter” to attract off-season tourism – this was a huge success, brining 20% more tourists in 2018 in less than two years. I devised a new way to manage the Balearic Islands tourism products with the “Tourism Products Clubs” program to promote launching specific off-season tourism products, developing more offers for natural heritage, sports, culture, gastronomy, traditional culture, crafts, etc. As part of my steps to revamp the tourism sector, I enhanced cooperation between the public and private sectors.

 

Managing Director – Culture & Tourism (2008-2011)

 

• Barcelona Media, Innovation Centre, now Eurecat, the Technology Centre of Catalonia https://eurecat.org/

• I managed international tourism and cultural projects for Spain, Brazil, Vietnam, Cambodia, Palestine and Paraguay. I was responsible for creating Barcelona Media Inovacao Brasil, a company in Salvador de Bahia, to handle projects in South America, mainly in Brazil. I managed more than 50 projects; notably the Brazil Tourism Marketing Plan, Rio de Janeiro Tourism Development Plan, Bahia Tourism Development Plan and the Brasilia Development and Marketing Plan. I also lectured at training programs and seminars and gave more than 40 conferences throughout Brazil

Manging Director – Culture (1997/2003)

• Government of Mallorca and Balearic Islands.

• Manage Museums and Symphony Orchestra. Founder of Institut Ramon Llull, to promote the use of Catalan and culture overseas. Produced many events in Mallorca, Barcelona, Moscow, New York, London, Manchester, Paris… My approach combined culture and tourism, to produce exhibitions, concerts, and general events for both citizens and tourists.
